Our third annual Celebrating Wellness Fest is underway with great support from the County and from so many individuals!  After the heart-warming first year, our second year met with the most challenging weather in 40 years, but we remain undaunted. Committed to the vision of ‘Building community, person by healthy person,’ I am thrilled to pick up the baton again and bring you a third year.  This year the event will not only benefit each one of us, but will also benefit (through the 5.00 admission,) Sarasota County Parks and Recreation AND Girl’s Inc.

Ellie is a retired professional with over 30 years of management experience. She has lived in Sarasota since 1999 when she was involved with the Florida House Learning Center where she organized events, managed the volunteer program, and orchestrated the many visitors that came to learn about sustainable living.

After several years at the Florida House and Sarasota County, she became one of the founders of Efest, the successful community festival that celebrates environmental sustainability. Following Efest, Ellie was the Executive Director of the Sarasota Reading Festival.

In addition to volunteering, Ellie enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as NIA, walking and designing and making doll clothes for charity.
